One person was killed and others were wounded, in violent clashes that erupted at dawn today, Sunday, in the Rashidieh Palestinian refugee camp in the city of Tire in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese news website Al-Nashra reported that “the Rashidieh camp in Tire has witnessed violent clashes since the early hours of the morning, in which medium and light weapons and B7 shells were used, which led to the death of one person and a number of wounded.”
The site indicated that “ambulances worked to transport the wounded to the “Lebanese Italian Hospital” in Tire for treatment,” pointing out that “there are a number of Palestinian families besieged in their homes, in the vicinity of the ongoing clashes inside the camp.”
In turn, the National News Agency reported that the area of clashes in Rashidieh camp has expanded, and the “Fatah” movement and other Palestinian factions are working to calm down.
